           ***ATTENTION:  Group obedience training is currently not being offered at this time due to the extreme weather temperatures.  Eraine is currently offering in-home private training and price varies by location and there is a minimum session time of 30 minutes.             We are pleased to offer training classes and private sessions with Eraine Spencer. Eraine, is a certified Canine Training & Behavior Specialist who brings with her over 7 years experience. She is happy to help you train your pet to become a polite family member, no matter what age! We offer group classes or private sessions based on what you desire. Below are frequently asked questions and answers regarding our training services. GROUP LESSONS

Step One: When you call to enroll in classes your first step is to attend an orientation with our trainer. During this one-on-one session we will go over your class supply list, the rules of group classes, training collars and get an introduction to clicker training. This prepares you before you attend group sessions so you and your dog make a smooth transition into classes.

Step Two: Once you have completed an orientation you are able to attend your first group class. Classes meet on Monday nights at 7:30pm. You must start group classes within 2 weeks of your orientation. These classes are ongoing so we never have a set start date.

Step Three: After attending at least 5 of your 6 group sessions your pet is eligible for graduation from that level and you may enroll in another set of classes which will cover more advanced skills. We have 4 levels of obedience classes, with each one more advanced so you can attend classes until you reach the training level you desire!

WHO CAN COME?

Any and all dogs current on vaccines per Creekside Animal Hospital’s protocol, and puppies 12 weeks and older that have at least 2 boosters.  Kids are allowed to come to classes as long as an adult is coming along too.  No kids under 5 years old please!

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

The initial orientation with Eraine is $1/min. and should run about 30 to 60 minutes.  Classes are $75 for 6 weeks. 

Private Sessions are $1/min. and can be up to 60 minutes.

WHAT WILL WE LEARN?

We cover basic obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, come when called, walk on leash, go to bed, crate, manners indoors and also tricks to strengthen and stretch your dog, target training, and tricks for fun!  We have fun competitions/races where we offer prizes to the winners!

WHAT TRAINING TECHNIQUES DOES THE TRAINER USE?

Eraine has been taught to use all forms of methods, but chooses to use clicker training in her classes.  For more info on clicker methods, see www.clickertraining.com

 DOES MY DOG HAVE TO WEAR A TRAINING COLLAR?

This will be decided when you attend orientation.  We try and wean your dog off training collars as soon as possible so they behave without them, but sometimes they need help in the beginning!
